──How did the joint tour with Def Leppard come about? Why Def Leppard?

デフ・レパードとのツアーはどのようにして実現したのですか？ 何故デフ・レパードと？

「def Leppard & whitesnake share the same agent...it was his idea for us to co-headline...Joe Elliott & the Leppard guys have been friends of mine for many years...We have always been very supportive & inspirational to each other thro' our careers...I think it was inevitable we would work together someday...Whitesnake & Def leppard are two of the most successful recording bands in contemporary music...our recent uk tour was one of the best experiences we've had...we received Great, positive audience reaction & the tour has been nominated for ‘event of the year’ in classic rock magazine...」

──How is the reaction in the UK regarding your new album?

新作に対するUKでの評判は？

「Amazing...the most consistently positive response I've ever had for a whitesnake album...in fact, it continues to be a success for us...we're very happy!」

「すごいよ。今まで一番評判いい。まだ続いているんだ。とても嬉しい！」

──What is your impressions of Japan? Do you plan on visiting anywhere specific? What do you enjoy doing in Japan?

日本の印象は？ 具体的に行きたいところはありますか？ 日本では何をするのが楽しみですか？

「well, i have been an honoured guest in japan now for almost 35 years...it's always a delight for me to visit & play my music...This time is very exciting as I am bring my son, Jasper, for his first time...I think he is expecting to see lots of pokemon running around!」

「日本はもう35年もの間、私をゲストとして受け入れてくれている。日本に行き音楽をプレイするのはいつも最高だ。今回は初めて息子のJASPERを連れて行くので凄く楽しみだ。彼はきっとポケモンがあっちこっちで走り回っていると想像していると思うけど。」

──What kind of show should the Japanese fans expect?

日本のファンはどのようなショーを期待したら良いでしょうか？

「if it's anything like our european shows...very exciting!...I think our japanese fans will be very please with the combination of whitesnake & def leppard...two great bands with 3 hours of great rock & roll songs...we'll also be playing lots of new music, too...that is always exciting for me rather than just playing old hits...」

「ヨーロッパでのショーは本当にエキサイティングだった！ ホワイトスネイクとデフ・レパードのコンビネーションに日本のファンは満足すると思うよ。最高の二つのバンドが3時間ロックをプレイする。新しい曲もたくさんプレイする。ただ古い曲をプレイし続けるよりそっちの方が楽しいよ。」

──How will the Japan tour differ from those you and Def Leppard have completed in England, Germany, Bulgaria and Turkey?

日本のショーはイギリス、ドイツ、ブルガリア、トルコのショーとどのように違いますか？

「the heart & soul will be the same...but, we will probably have a bigger stage production than we’ve ever presented in japan before...It's a really good 3 hours of fun & sing-along songs...」

「心と精神は一緒だ。これまでの日本ツアーよりプロダクションは大きいと思うよ。3時間最高の曲をプレイし続ける。」

──Please provide us a message to all the old and new fans looking forward to the Oct. tour.

10月のツアーを楽しみにしている新旧ファンへメッセージを。
